Evangelism Explosion!

In the last two weeks our witnessing teams have led over 600 people to the Lord! As I mentioned in the last blog, we joined forces with Pastor Rodney and the Great Awakening team in a city wide evangelistic outreach. Since then, our church has caught the Holy fire of evangelism and are continuing to take the gospel to the streets. Our college group won 74 souls in just 1 hour of time this past Friday. On Saturday we sent out another group of 40 people and they won 150.

On Easter Sunday, the fruit of our labor was evident, as many of those won on the streets attended our service. Many of them were filled with the Holy Ghost and now awaiting water baptism. How exciting!

As a pastor, I could not be more proud of the people of New Beginnings. Even though soul winning can be a difficult, scary, and trying experience, we have forged on and taken the devil's kingdom by storm. I can only expect this fire to burn more fervently as we continue on.

Matt 9:37-38 He said to his disciples, "The harvest is so great, but the workers are so few. 38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send out more workers for his fields." NLT

Harvest Week!

This past week our church joined Pastor Rodney Howard Browne and the Great Awakening Team for a week of soul winning. The street witnessing started on Monday and concluded Saturday.

A few months ago when I heard of this upcoming outreach, my Spirit was stirred. I sensed that something great would happen, not just for the community of Orlando, but also in our local body.

My expectations paled in comparison to the reality of what happened. 20,000 people gave their life to the Lord in just one week! Our team of people were responsible for leading over 400 to the Lord. One precious lady in our church led 66 people in the prayer of salvation. All of this taking place on the streets. Wal-Mart, grocery stores, apartment buildings, and city parks all became a field ripe unto harvest.

I am thankful for someone like Pastor Rodney who has heard the heartbeat of God and is in pursuit of His passion. Our city and church will never be the same. Those who went into the streets have now tasted of the fulfilling feeling that comes when leading someone to the Lord. Soul winning will be a part of our culture at New Beginnings. It will become a way of life. A fire has been lit and a passion has been released. Look out devil!

I am convinced that this is what will bring revival. Jesus did not command to go into the churches and compel them to come in. He commanded that we go into the highways and streets. Many times churches just exchange fruit instead of bearing new fruit. Revival will never come this way. It will happen as sheep begin bearing sheep. This has started happening at New Beginning. Revival is just around the corner!

Luke 14:23 Then the master said to the servant, 'Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

Faithful God!

Yesterday we had the privilege of hosting Dr. Ed Nelson at New Beginnings. He ministered during our am and pm services. Both were incredible! Dr. Nelson has an understanding of the Word that is rare. As he shared from both his knowledge and revelation of the Word, many lives were touched.

I would love to share with you what he preached during both service, but there is no way that I can put into text all that was said. I would not know where to begin. If you were in the services yesterday, you can understand the difficulty of that.

I thank God for sending Dr. Nelson to us in a time most needed. Many of our people are facing the issues and struggles that he addressed yesterday. It seems no matter how hard things get at times, God always sends a messenger with a word that is perfect in it's timing.

We must always remember that God cares for us. He cares more for us than we are capable of comprehending. It is His desire to prosper us in every way. He takes joy in favoring us.

God is faithful!

Phil 1:6
6 And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.AMP

Ps 61:2 "From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I."

Dearest Friend,

It is with great sadness that I come to you with the news about our precious friend, Amy Stockstill. On Monday night, February 11, 2008 at 9:40p.m., she went home to be with Jesus.

Amy is in heaven in the presence of our awesome God! We appreciate your standing with the Stockstill family during this intense battle. Amy has received the ultimate victory. Please continue to pray for the family as they still need your prayers.

Urgent!

As you all know Pastor Amy Stockstill has been in a battle for her life. The church family of New Beginnings along with Bethany and many other churches, fasted for a week for her divine healing.

Over this past weekend things took a turn for the worse. The report of the doctors is nothing short of hopeless. Now I am asking you to stand and pray like never before. This is not the time to back off and lessen our warfare on the the demonic powers that are assigned to take her life.

The next few days are crucial. Please contninue to fast, pray, and declare the Word of the Lord. We need to rally around the Stockstill and Hart families to win this battle once and for all. PRAY!

Eph 6:10-13
10 A final word: Be strong with the Lord's mighty power. 11 Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil. 12 For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.
13 Use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy in the time of evil, so that after the battle you will still be standing firm

Urgent Prayer!

I am asking that all who read this join Cristina and I in a week of fasting and prayer. We are specifically praying for the healing of our dear friend Amy Stockstill. The battle has intensified and now it's time that our prayers and efforts intensify. Pastors Joel and Amy are very precious and anointed people. God has an incredible plan for their lives. The enemy has launched a major offensive to take them out. But we know that God's plan and purpose will prevail!

The church family of Bethany and church people around the country are joining in this week of fasting and prayer. Our congregation needs to join their efforts. I want you to get into the battle and be a part of bringing this situation to the throne of God. I believe that we will see absolute and total victory in this matter. To God be the glory!

Please leave a comment in regards to your willingness to pray this week. You can also send a word of encouragement to Pastors Joel and Amy by going to www.joelstockstill.com.

Mark 11:22-25
22 Then Jesus said to the disciples, "Have faith in God. 23 I assure you that you can say to this mountain, 'May God lift you up and throw you into the sea,' and your command will be obeyed. All that's required is that you really believe and do not doubt in your heart. 24 Listen to me! You can pray for anything, and if you believe, you will have it. NLT

Message for the New Year!

2007 was a year of preparation and completion for New Beginnings Healing Center. Ministries were established and leaders were equipped. As with Nehemiah, we had a group of people with a mind to work, build, and establish. A place of peace and fulfillment had to be prepared for the many that are seeking for a church to call "home". I feel that in '07 that assignment was successfully accomplished.
The number 7 speaks of completion. I know that as a church we entered into that phase of completion this past year. At the end of this phase for Nehemiah, he had to begin setting his sights on populating the city that had been prepared. In Nehemiah 7 he finds a register of names. This list consisted of the families that came with Ezra just a few years before. These freed Jews tried to build and establish themselves as a people, but had no success. The enemy would come and destroy any progress that they made. This continued for 7 years. Then God raised up Nehemiah to build and finish the work. The enemy would no longer be successful in thwarting their efforts. At the beginning of the 8th year, Nehemiah was ready to call the names of those on the register to re-populate the city.

Can you imagine the joy of those who were on the list? For 8 years they fought to be established but had no place to call home. They must have felt forgotten and insignificant. Maybe some even lost hope in that they would ever have a place of establishment and peace. But in the beginning of the 8th year, God put an end to that! I believe that is what He is doing in Orlando in 2008. He is calling the names of those in this region who have felt forgotten and neglected, those who have not had a place of peace and rest. He will populate His city and church with those who are on that list.

2008 will be a year of surplus. One definition for the number eight is: a surplus above the perfect number 7. This year, we will see a surplus above perfection!

2008 is a year to look forward to the future and not back to the past. In Acts 1:10-11, the disciples were looking up into the clouds where they had last seen Jesus. The 2 angels asked them why they were still gazing up toward the heavens. I believe there is great significance in this question. Before Jesus was taken up, He told the disciples that He was sending one after Him. A new dispensation of "Himself" was to be released through the person of the Holy Spirit. Why were they wasting their time looking at what was, when they should have been in the upper room preparing for what was to come. Many in the body of Christ are hung up on the "yesterday" move of the spirit. They constantly dwell on and reminisce of the past. It is time to look toward the future. God is ready to do something beyond what has ever been seen. We cannot waste time looking back. We must prepare to move forward. The best is yet to come!

Hag 2:9, "The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory, says the LORD Almighty. And in this place I will bring peace. I, the LORD Almighty, have spoken!"
